Sonrise Notes for June 3rd....

 

12matkearney...Casting Crowns won two Billboard Music Awards last Sunday in Las Vegas: Top Christian artist, and Top Christian Album, for “Come To The Well.” Laura Story won the Billboard Music Award for Top Christian Song for “Blessings.”

 

...Mat Kearney will be touring with Train and Andy Grammer this summer, starting July 26 in Charlotte. See if they’re coming to town on our “Concerts” page. Then head over to the “Features” page and click “Videos” to see some behind the scenes footage from the video shoot for his new song Ships in the Night.

...Creation 2012 is waiting for you this summer! This giant Christian music fest is actually broken into two tours: Creation Northeast at Agape Farm in Mt. Union, PA June 27-30; and Creation Northwest in Enumclaw, WA July 18-21. Also in the lineup for both shows are Switchfoot, Thousand Foot Krutch, Newsboys, Family Force 5, Kutless, Group 1 Crew and a bunch more. ...Casting Crowns wrapped up the spring leg of its 42-city “Come To The Well” tour, and the final show in Houston was a sell-out, with more than 16,000 fans! A final total of tour numbers for both fall and spring tours shows over 370,000 people attending and 40 sold-out dates making Casting Crowns’ “Come To The Well” tour one of the most successful Christian artist tours of all time.

...You may recall hearing Jamie Grace’s first hit, the Grammy nominated “Hold Me” up until Mother’s Day on the Belk TV Commercials. Although it was a re-recorded version of the song she wrote with TobyMac, it’s a great tribute to the success she has been having. Jamie Grace is just 20-years-old and is already a Dove award winner, was nominated for a 2012 Billboard Music Award, has two chart-topping singles and has No. 1 status on three different charts!
