One of our favorite things about Sonrise is hearing from people who’ve been touched by something they heard on the show. Whether it’s a song that made an impact on your life, or a story that someone shared, it’s great to know that it’s helped in some way, so if there is something that has touched you in a special way, we’d love to hear about it. Everybody has a story, and we’d love to hear yours.

camposreunitedGloria Campos is a news anchor at WFAA in Dallas, TX and has been doing it for more than 30 years. If you ask her, one of the best parts about being a journalist is you always get to meet new people, learn their life stories and maybe even make an impact. In one of her features you may have heard of called Wednesday’s Child, she featured an 8-year-old boy named Ke’onte. He had been bounced around the foster system in Plano, TX most of his life, but was adopted right after he was featured on her segment. Unfortunately, it didn’t last, and Ke’onte was once again without a family. Gloria decided to feature him again, and that was all it took; he found a forever home. Ke’onte is 14 now, and wanted to surprise Gloria to thank her for everything she’s done for him. He worked with producers and was able to surprise Gloria while she was live on air.
