One of our favorite things about Sonrise is hearing from people who’ve been touched by something they heard on the show. Whether it’s a song that made an impact on your life, or a story that someone shared, it’s great to know that it’s helped in some way, so if there is something that has touched you in a special way, we’d love to hear about it. Everybody has a story, and we’d love to hear yours.

freedomthankfulBack in 2012, a pregnant Sudanese woman arrived in Fort Worth, TX with two children. Her husband, Dyan was stuck in a refugee camp and thought he would never see his wife and kids again. Shortly after his wife met two compassionate women in a North Fort Worth church, a ministry was started that now has more than 100 people volunteering to serve refugees in the area. Two women from the group stood by them, helping in every way they could. After three years of prayer and the birth of their third child, Dyan finally got to be reunited with his wife and family. In the powerful video, Dyan hugs his family, and then falls to the floor in praise, giving thanks for his freedom.
